This is my creation of the contents page. I used a model contents page to gain ideas on how to do my contents page. I used the same title from the front cover and put it onto my contents page to show the readers that it is still that magazine. I also used a date and issue number so that this tells the reader what issue they are reader and what date it was when it was brought out. I did the same with the front cover and used good quality pictures to use on this contents page. I gave the readers page numbers with the main points that feature in the magazine contents page. Overall I think that I have achieved a good understanding and produced a good contents page.
Your front cover and contents page demonstrate a basic level of ability in all of the criteria outlined on the mark scheme (refer to your booklet). In order to improve when you create a contents page for your main task:
ReplyDelete* Think more carefully about following professional layout conventions e.g. your cover text distracts from the main image)
* Use more interesting typography that better represents your target audience
* Come up with more snappy titles using lexis your target audience will find interesting (there are not enough stories on your contents page)
* Take/use more professional images
* Think more carefully about image framing/layout e.g. lighting and mise-en-scene could have been better.
Also, in terms of your contents page the typography style on the text at the bottom and the full stop do not look professional.
