Masthead experiments

First I started off with a good size canvas. Then I added a denim jean look for the background; this was to bring out the text and make it look more effective and eye catching.
The next step was too find a good font to use for the letter 'A' that I chose. I typed in the letter and went through the photoshop fonts that were given. After I found a good font to use, I edited the A so It had some shadow to make it look more appealing and much better.

The next a final step was next to the letter, find some words that begin with the letter 'A', so for example: Art; Alike, Awhile and Answer. Then beside it with the words I used take the first letter of the work out and put the endings next to the big A.

This is the final piece. It looks really good and was a good masthead practice exercise. Using the ideas from this I am going to use this in the creation of my own work when creating a masthead.

Here are some other fonts that I experimented with.

This is one I thought about using.

Again this is another masthead I thought about choosing.

My survey responses shown that choice 2 was that favourite so I am going to use this one because that is what the audience want.
